“We have been training young people for more than 23 years and have already achieved 100% training and placement for over 1,25,000 students under Central and State Government welfare schemes. Most of the students who have benefited from these schemes are from rural Tamil Nadu.

Our alumni have gone on to build successful careers both in India and abroad, in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. Many are also employed in leading industries across Chennai that utilize advanced CNC technology.”

Livelihood skill development

Livelihood Enhancement through Skill Development

It's a known fact that youth comprise over one-third of the Indian Population which in turn constitutes a major part of the labor force of the country. But the number of underprivileged youth in India who lack education and proper guidance is humungous. Our aim to identify such underprivileged youth and channelize them with proper guidance to enable them not only for their own economic growth but also make them able to contribute to nation building.

Problems that we face in youths for skill development

  • Key skill gaps and shortage of quality workers are observed at the minimally skilled and semi-skilled levels.
  • Inadequate skill sets available.
  • Inadequate project management skills.
  • Inadequate orientation to develop and adhere to safety norms at Industries.
  • Inadequate work ethics.
  • Casual in work, absenteeism, unwillingness to work, etc. are observe.

Action taken by Capital Educational Trust for Livelihood Enhancement through Skill Development

Our centre runs immersive, practically oriented courses where hands-on learning is the basis. These industry-designed courses have wide acceptability among recruiters and also provide basic entrepreneurial skills to the trainees. Every year, many youth are trained at these vocational training centres, which are capable of generating employability for these underprivileged youth. These are our steps to success:

Healthcare

"Health is wealth" is a well-known fact. However, even in today's modern world, many people from rural areas are not focusing on their health. This is due to a lack of education and awareness about the importance of health not reaching them. The thought of losing a day's wage stops them from visiting the nearest medical facility for primary healthcare. Healthcare, which needs desperate attention, remains unaddressed. To bridge the gap, we arrange free medical camps for our students on our campus. Not only students, but even their family members benefit from it. These camps provide primary healthcare services such as general check-ups, sugar tests, and BP tests, as well as raise awareness about health. Blood donation camps are also organized to help society.

Save Nature

We need trees for a better future. Trees give us oxygen, which is the life-giving source. Planting trees is essential as they absorb harmful gases. Trees provide shelter for birds and animals. They improve air quality, climate amelioration, conserve water, preserve soil, and support wildlife. Trees control climate by moderating the effects of the sun, rain, and wind. Leaves absorb and filter the sun’s radiant energy, keeping things cool in summer. Trees also preserve warmth by providing a screen from harsh winds.
